The Alabama A&M University men’s tennis team ended its opening weekend with a 4-0 defeat against Auburn on Sunday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center in Auburn, Alabama.
Auburn, now holding a 5-0 record, secured the doubles point by winning matches at both the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. In the No. 1 doubles match, Eduardo De Benedictis Andretta and Tasso Moreira defeated Billy Blaydes and Jake Kennedy with a score of 6-1.
The Tigers clinched the overall victory by winning singles matches at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6.
Alabama A&M, currently at 0-2 for the season, will play next on Saturday, January 31, when they travel to face Belmont at the Ensworth Tennis Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
