Alabama A&M University senior Jaeveon Jordan has won the Rally Cry National Championship Series for EA SPORTS College Football 26, earning national recognition as the top collegiate player in the country for the 2025 season.
Jordan, an accounting major from Washington, D.C., represented Alabama A&M as an individual competitor during the eight-week online Rally Cry season. The competition began on September 20 and concluded with the national championship on December 14, 2025. Jordan finished with a record of 22 wins and two losses across regular-season play, playoffs, and the double-elimination national championship bracket.
The Rally Cry Championship Series brings together leading collegiate gamers nationwide. Players qualify through a performance-based season and conference championships in leagues such as the National Esports Collegiate Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference. The top eight players advance to compete for the national title. Jordan faced opponents from both HBCUs and non-HBCU institutions in a format designed to test skill and consistency.
“Going 22–2 over a 12-week season and winning a double-elimination national championship against the top eight collegiate players in the country is something I’m extremely proud of,” said Jordan. “It represents consistency, preparation and resilience at the highest level of collegiate esports.”
Jordan’s win adds to his achievements at Alabama A&M, where he is already a three-time SWAC Esports champion and a two-time Magic City Classic Esports champion.
“Being a three-time SWAC champion and a two-time Magic City Classic champion made this national title even more meaningful,” he said.
Despite his success, Jordan currently competes without an esports scholarship but hopes that his achievements will lead to future scholarship opportunities based on esports performance.
Jordan was recognized by Alabama A&M Athletic Director Dr. Paul A. Bryant during a women’s basketball game against the University of North Alabama on December 17, 2025.
The university’s Bulldog E-Sports program was established two years ago and plans to host recruiting tournaments this spring while preparing for participation in the 2026 SWAC Championships.
“This win reflects years of work and the standard we’re building at Alabama A&M University. Being blessed with the ability to perform at a high level throughout the years has truly changed my life.”
