The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly men’s soccer award winners on Tuesday, and the University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Andreas Tsimon as the GSC Player of the Week.
This is Tsimon’s first career GSC Player of the Week award, and he is the second UAH player to receive a weekly conference award in 2022.
Tsimon helped the Chargers to a 2-1 nonconference victory over West Alabama on Saturday at Charger Park by scoring the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute.
He has now scored two goals this season, which are both game-winners for UAH.
The Chargers look ahead to the final two matches of the regular season this weekend, beginning on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Charger Park against Shorter. UAH will additionally travel to Lee on Sunday for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
