Alabama A&M University has named William J. Young as its new Director of Bands following a national search. Young brings more than two decades of experience to the position and succeeds Carlton Wright after his thirteen years leading the band program.
Josiah Scoon will graduate from Alabama A&M University this spring before starting work as a data analyst with Northrop Grumman. He credits mentorships, internships, campus involvement—and family support—for preparing him professionally.
Isaac Smith from Alabama A&M University has been named a finalist for a national conducting contest held by Symphony of the Americas. He joins four other students nationwide competing for top honors on April 28.
