In the week ending Feb. 21, three gas stations in Limestone County sold regular gas at the lowest reported price of $2.49 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Regular gas prices averaged $2.64 per gallon in Limestone County.

Of the 67 reported gas stations located within Limestone County, 28 offered regular gas.

Across Alabama, the average reported price for a gallon of regular gas remained unchanged at $2.59, compared to the week before.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
