Coach Tommy Tuberville, U.S. Senator representing Alabama, published a series of posts on October 7, 2025, addressing topics ranging from the anniversary of attacks in Israel to support for law enforcement and criticism of federal investigations.
In a post reflecting on the events in Israel, Tuberville wrote: “Two years ago, radical Islamic terrorists attacked, kidnapped, and brutally MURDERED 1,200+ innocent people in Israel, including 40 U.S. citizens. Today, we pause to remember the innocent lives lost and pray for @POTUS as he works to bring PEACE to the Middle East.” (October 7, 2025).
Later that day, Tuberville addressed support for law enforcement and National Guardsmen in Alabama: “In Alabama, we support our law enforcement and service members. The National Guardsmen protecting our cities are not the problem. The leftist lunatics who are shooting at them are.” (October 7, 2025).
Tuberville also criticized the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding alleged surveillance activities targeting elected officials: “The Biden FBI SPIED on United States Senators. They came after President Trump. They came after me. They will come after you, too. We don’t need more investigations. People need to go to JAIL.” (October 7, 2025).
Senator Tuberville’s comments follow ongoing national debates about U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and domestic concerns about public safety and federal oversight of political figures. The attack referenced by Tuberville occurred during the Hamas-Israel conflict that began on October 7, 2023; this event resulted in significant casualties among both Israelis and foreign nationals.
The senator’s remarks about federal investigations reflect broader partisan disputes over government surveillance practices that have been debated extensively since revelations of intelligence community monitoring activities surfaced in recent years.
