Coach Tommy Tuberville, U.S. Senator representing Alabama, shared a series of posts on social media addressing issues ranging from public discourse and education to public safety.
On September 11, 2025, Tuberville commented on the role of Charlie Kirk in national dialogue, stating, “Charlie Kirk devoted his life to creating open dialogue across the country. Charlie wasn’t part of the problem; he was the solution.
Some members of the political class and media have become too comfortable with labeling people they disagree with as ‘threats to America’ or”.
The following day, September 12, 2025, Tuberville addressed educational priorities in Alabama. He wrote, “Our young people are our greatest resource.
We must make sure they are getting a strong education—the future of our country depends on it.
Great to speak with members of Alabama’s school boards to discuss how we can improve education in our great state.”
Later that same day, Tuberville responded to a false shooting report at Alabama State University. He stated, “I am thankful that everyone at @BamaState1867 is safe following yesterday’s false shooting report.
Swatting is extremely dangerous. It wastes law enforcement’s time and puts our officers–and swatting victims–at risk.
ANYONE who places these hoax calls should be thrown in JAIL.”
Swatting incidents—false reports intended to trigger a police response—have been recognized nationally as serious threats that endanger both first responders and civilians. Law enforcement agencies across the United States have reported an increase in such incidents over recent years. In addition to causing unnecessary panic and diverting resources from real emergencies, swatting has led some policymakers and advocacy groups to call for stricter penalties for perpetrators.
Tuberville’s remarks come amid ongoing debates about public safety measures and educational standards in Alabama. As a member of Congress since 2021 and former college football coach, Tuberville has often emphasized youth development and community engagement in his policy positions.
