Coach Tommy Tuberville, U.S. Senator from Alabama, addressed several issues on his social media account in early October 2025, focusing on education and public safety in the state.
On October 5, 2025, Tuberville posted support for parental involvement in education and the role of private religious schools. He stated, “Parents, not the government, should be responsible for their child’s education. Private religious schools are a great option for many Alabamians. I’m proud to join my colleagues in recognizing this week as ‘Religious Education Week.'”
A day later, on October 6, Tuberville commented on recent violence in Montgomery. He wrote, “I am deeply disturbed by what took place in Alabama’s capital city last night. Crime has become too common in Montgomery, and this cannot continue. It’s past time for city leadership to take responsibility and put an end to this. My prayers are with the victims and their”.
In another post later that same day, Tuberville criticized Auburn University regarding curriculum content funded by taxpayers. He said, “Come on, @AuburnU. ZERO REASON taxpayer funds should go to teaching our students to HATE law and order. Woke indoctrination has NO PLACE in Alabama or our taxpayer-funded universities.”
Tuberville’s comments reflect ongoing national debates about parental choice in education policy and concerns over crime rates and university curricula.
