Coach Tommy Tuberville, U.S. Senator from Alabama and former Auburn University football coach, shared a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) in late August 2025 discussing political developments and reflecting on past athletic achievements.
On August 25, Tuberville expressed support for the current administration, stating: “President Trump and Secretary Collins have done an extraordinary job righting the wrongs of the Biden administration. It was great to be in Montevallo on Friday to hear from some of Alabama’s veterans. More in my latest monthly column: https://t.co/liEgRzJFFy”.
Later that day, he reminisced about his time as Auburn’s head football coach: “In 2004, Auburn had the best players, the best coaching staff, and the best fans in the nation. They deserve the National Championship. War Eagle. https://t.co/RIlGJuVM2T”. Tuberville coached Auburn to an undefeated season in 2004 but the team did not receive a national title at that time due to college football’s selection process.
On August 26, Tuberville commented on recent legislative activity: “Every single Democrat voted AGAINST the One Big Beautiful Bill. That means every Democrat voted for higher taxes, an open border, and energy reliance on our foreign adversaries. Despicable.”.
Tuberville has served as Alabama’s senator since January 2021 after a career as a college football coach, including his tenure at Auburn University from 1999 to 2008 where he led the team through several successful seasons.
