Coach Tommy Tuberville, U.S. Senator from Alabama, recently shared a series of posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account addressing education and public safety issues.
On November 16, 2025, Tuberville praised local educators in Alabama, stating: “GREAT WORK by Alabama’s local teachers and administrators.”
The following day, Tuberville criticized the Department of Education, writing on November 17, 2025: “Democrats turned the Department of Education into the DEPARTMENT OF INDOCTRINATION. @EDSecMcMahon is right. It’s long past time we CLEAN HOUSE and eliminate the bureaucracy.” This statement reflects ongoing national debates over the role of federal oversight in education and echoes calls from some lawmakers to reduce or restructure the Department of Education.
Later that same day, Tuberville addressed concerns about immigration and road safety. He posted: “We CANNOT have illegals driving on our roads and putting AMERICANS in danger. Thank you @ICEgov for keeping our roads and our country SAFE.” His comments align with broader discussions regarding state policies on driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants and highlight ongoing efforts by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to enforce federal immigration laws.
Tuberville’s remarks come amid continued debate over education policy at both state and federal levels, as well as heightened attention to immigration enforcement measures nationwide.
