Coach Tommy Tuberville, U.S. Senator from Alabama, made a series of posts on his social media account between August 30 and August 31, 2025, addressing topics ranging from national security to economic leadership and law enforcement.
On August 30, Tuberville expressed support for an initiative by Secretary Rubio regarding visa policies. He wrote, “GREAT. Thank you, @SecRubio. If you support TERRORISTS and the DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA, you shouldn’t be rewarded with a visa.”
The following day, Tuberville called for changes in Federal Reserve leadership. In a post dated August 31 he stated, “Today’s a great day to fire Jerome Powell.” Jerome Powell has served as the Chair of the Federal Reserve since February 2018.
Later on August 31, Tuberville commented on former President Donald Trump’s efforts in Washington D.C., writing: “President Trump is cleaning up the capital and making D.C. safe again. This is LONG overdue, and I can’t wait for him to restore law and order in corrupt cities across the country.” The statement references ongoing debates about crime rates and public safety measures in major U.S. cities.
Tuberville’s comments come amid broader discussions over U.S. immigration policy reform—including calls to deny visas to individuals suspected of supporting terrorism—and continued scrutiny of Federal Reserve policies under Powell’s leadership. Additionally, issues related to urban crime have remained prominent in national political discourse.
