John C Calhoun State Community College issued the following announcement on July 27.
The Calhoun Community College Career Services department will host a free virtual Major Decisions Workshop through Zoom on Tuesday, August 4, 11:00 a.m.
The workshop is designed for prospective, current, and past Calhoun students as well as members of the community who are venturing into career exploration. The purpose of the workshop is to assist individuals in answering the question of, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ Many people are still trying to not only answer this question but also navigate ways to successfully choose a college major and ultimately a career.
Session topics will include self-awareness, career exploration, and gaining valuable life experience. At the end of the session, each participant will work with a Calhoun Career Advisor to develop a personalized action plan.
To attend the workshop, RSVP at www.calhoun.edu/virtual. If you would like to speak one-on-one to a Calhoun Career advisor, you may schedule an appointment at www.calhoun.edu/careerappt.
