John C Calhoun State Community College enrolls 9,736 undergrads

At John C Calhoun State Community College, 68 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in Tanner enrolled 9,736 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

97 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alabama, and 2 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (67 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).
