Alabama A&M Track & Field Heads To Vanderbilt’s Music City Challenge To Close Regular Season

Following a three-week layoff, Alabama A&M men's and women's track & field returns to competition and does so an hour and a half up the road in Nashville, Tennessee for the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt from April 29-30.

 

The Bulldogs will send 15 total individuals to the two-day meet to compete in 13 events. The men will send eight to see action in seven events while the women will have seven in six events. The weekend will kick off with junior Brandon McLaren (Clifton, Hanover, Jamaica) competing in the javelin at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 29 before the track portion begins at 5:40 p.m. with the 200-meters.

 

Saturday, April 30 will get going bright and early at 9 a.m. with junior Isaiah McCaulley (Huntsville, Ala.) and senior Demetrius Hurry II (Foley, Ala.) seeing action in the hammer. The meet is slated to conclude at approximately 5 p.m. as the men's team will run in the 4x400 relay.
