The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 2022 Division II All-Americans on Wednesday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville's Kaylee Vaught was listed among the nation's best as she earned Third Team All-America status.

The honor is the first All-America nod for Vaught.

Vaught becomes UAH's 24th player to be named an All-American, and it is the 52nd time that a UAH player has landed on an All-American list.

The Pisgah, Alabama, native turned in a strong junior campaign, and she has previously been honored as a NFCA First Team All-South Region choice, a D2CCA First Team All-South Region selection, and a member of the All-Gulf South Conference First Team.

Vaught batted .387 for the season after racking up 77 hits including 14 doubles, four triples, and six home runs to feature a .588 slugging percentage, and she scored 44 times while driving in 42. The junior walked 17 times to own .429 on-base percentage, and she was a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen base attempts. Defensively, she also featured seven assists from the outfield.

In the GSC with one team still playing, Vaught currently ranks among the best in the conference in batting average (7th), runs (t-10th), hits (2nd), RBI (9th), doubles (t-6th), triples (t-7th), and at-bats (1st).

On the season, Vaught had 23 multi-hit games including seven three-hit outings and a four-hit game, and she also had nine multi-RBI games with four contests in which she had three and a four-RBI showing.
