Football season is right around the corner and Alabama A&M Sports Information is taking you inside each of the 11 games throughout the spring and summer with an in-depth look at each over an 11-week stretch leading up to Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Media Day on Thursday, July 21.
Each release will come out on Sunday and will feature info on the opponent, series history, location and even insight from head coach Connell Maynor to get you primed for the 2022 campaign.

About The Game
The B-CU game will mark the first time that the Bulldogs have played consecutive games against teams from the State of Florida in at least the program's NCAA Division I history.
They will be coming off a trip to Florida A&M the previous week and, paired with that one, this will be just the fourth game against a Florida school in that time. Last season A&M traveled to face the Wildcats on September 16 and hosted FAMU a month later on October 16.
It will also mark the frontend of the only time that Alabama A&M will play at home in back-to-back weeks during the 2022 season. The following week they will welcome Grambling to Louis Crews.
Beyond who the opponent is the game is one of the most anticipated game on the schedule as it will also serve as Homecoming 2022, bringing with it all of the pomp and circumstance with one of the premier events of the season.
Series History vs. Bethune-Cookman
With the scarcity of games against schools from the State of Florida it shouldn't be a surprise that there is not much of a series history against the Wildcats. In fact, in the last 43 years, the teams have met only once with that coming last year.
That game would come on September 16, 2021 when the Bulldogs pulled out a thrilling 30-27 victory over B-CU on ESPNU and in a driving rainstorm.
