GSC Announces Preseason Women's Soccer Poll

The Gulf South Conference announced its 2022 GSC Preseason Women's Soccer Coaches Poll on Wednesday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was voted 10th in the preseason tally.

 

The GSC additionally unveiled its Top Newcomer Watch List for the 2022 campaign, which included Hadas Morin (Jerusalem, Israel) and Jayla Gillespie (Decatur, Ala.) from the Chargers.

 

Lee was voted first in the preseason prognostications with 164 points and eight first place votes, followed by West Florida with 153 points and six first-place nods.

 

Mississippi College (145 points), Valdosta State (131 points), Delta State (118 points), West Georgia (105 points), West Alabama (90 points), Montevallo (88 points), and Christian Brothers (83 points) preceded UAH in the top 10 of the vote.

 

The Chargers 2022 campaign begins at home at Charger Park on Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. against visiting Trevecca Nazarene, and the squad will also start the GSC season at home on Sept. 9 against West Florida.
