Tatiana Bonilla led the defense with a team-high 16 digs, with Hailey Holshouser rating second on the squad with 14 scoops.

Shorter opened up the contest with a 25-13 win over UAH, but the Chargers would rebound in the second set by capitalizing on a late six-point run that propelled the squad to the match-tying 25-22 win.

UAH generated distance from Shorter late in the third set by scoring five of the final six points in the stanza to win 25-19 and take the match lead.

The Hawks slimmed the Chargers advantage late in the fourth set to 21-19, but UAH held on to clinch the victory on a 25-22 win in the frame.

This is the UAH volleyball program's first win in the GSC tournament since topping Lee 3-0 in the 2018 quarterfinals.
