UAH Welcomes Toccoa Falls for Nonconference Tilt Tuesday

 The No. 24 University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team hosts Toccoa Falls at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall for a nonconference matchup on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

General admission attendance is free this regular season, courtesy of Bill Penney Toyota. Single game tickets for reserved seating are also available. 

The Chargers are entering the week with a 4-1 overall record and 1-0 in Gulf South Conference play after taking down Auburn Montgomery by a score of 84-74 on Saturday at home in their first league matchup of the season.
 
Chaney Johnson guided the Chargers in the win over Auburn Montgomery with a team-high 25 points to go along with nine rebounds. Johnson is now atop the GSC with 20.6 points per game through five games in the 2022-23 season.
 
UAH benefitted by strong free throw shooting in the GSC-opening matchup as they went 23-for-27 as a team from the line, and the Chargers are now ranked second so far in the GSC in free-throw percentage at 81.4 percent (79-97).
 
So far this season, the Chargers offense additionally boasts 78.6 points per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 33.6 percent on three-pointers. Three Chargers are currently averaging 10 points or more per game, with two players posting six rebounds or more per contest.
 
Toccoa Falls opens the game on Tuesday with an overall record of 3-2 after winning over Carolina Christian College by a score of 94-87 on Friday. The Screaming Eagles were led by Anthony Williams with 25 points in the matchup, and they are currently averaging 58.0 points per game as a team. 

This will be the first-ever matchup between UAH and Toccoa Falls.
 
After tomorrow's matchup, UAH will return to conference play at Montevallo on Saturday at 4 p.m.
