The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team fell at West Alabama by a final score of 67-66 on Monday night in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slides to 1-5 (1-2 GSC), while UWA improves to 5-1 (3-0 GSC).
Haley Nichols had a stellar offensive performance for the Chargers, as she posted a team-high 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the floor that included a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. Nichols additionally finished with five rebounds.
Ellen Fleming was also strong for the Blue & White offensively with 19 points with nine of her points on the night coming on three-pointers over 38 minutes on the floor.
Olivia Howard gave the Chargers three players with double-digit scoring performances with 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the floor.
Andie Flatgard helped guide the offense with a team-best six assists, which is a season-high for the freshman. She additionally tied for the team lead with Nichols with two steals on the defensive end.
