If you survey people across the country about Cooperative Extension, you may hear a familiar question, “What’s Extension?” Although this national institution has existed for over 100 years, many people only recognize it as an entity that assists farmers or engages youth through 4-H. But today, Extension is so much more.
Alabama A&M students, faculty, and staff are invited to be honored guests at the Extension Open House where staff across the state will answer that important question – What’s Extension? The event will be held in the James I. Dawson Building on the Alabama A&M (AAMU) campus on Friday, February 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Learn about program highlights, view exhibits, engage in interactive activities, chat with staff, and enjoy some refreshments and giveaways. After learning more about Extension at AAMU, consider becoming a lifelong program participant, a volunteer, a staff member, or a viable community partner!
Contact Andrea Morris, interim associate director and event chair, at (256) 372-8082 or andrea.morris@aamu.edu for more information.
