U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) addressed the Senate floor to express his concerns about what he described as the growing threat of radical Islam and Sharia Law in the United States. In his remarks, Tuberville criticized Democratic officials and media organizations, alleging they are enabling the spread of radical Islam within the country.
“Mr. President, you know, for months, I’ve been raising the alarm over radical Islam infiltrating the greatest country on the face of the earth, the United States of America. You know, some Americans see what’s happening in Europe and they think, would that ever happen in our country? The reality is, yes, it’s happening right now, right before our very eyes. The enemy is now inside the gates,” Tuberville said.
He referenced New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s decision to declare January as Muslim American Heritage Month and to light state landmarks in green. “Governor Kathy Hochul of New York welcomed in the New Year by declaring January as Muslim American Heritage Month. And to red-blooded American patriots’ dismay, Hochul directed state landmarks, including the iconic skyline of New York City, to be lit in the color of Islamic Green. What makes the situation, Mr. President, even worse, is that One World Trade Center was also lit up in Islamic Green… The exact location where economic tariffs flew planes into the Twin Towers on September 11th, 2001…”
Tuberville went on to say: “This was a slap in the face to families of nearly 3,000 victims who were murdered and thousands injured on a very tragic day… For years, Radical Left… have found a way to flood our communities with third world Muslims whose only goal is not to assimilate but to destroy the West and create a worldwide Caliphate.”
He cited immigration policies under previous administrations: “Under Barack Obama and Joe Biden, our federal government imported millions of foreigners who hate America… enabling them to live on welfare and forcing American taxpayers to pay…”
Tuberville also commented on recent political developments in New York City: “New York City’s recent mayoral election reveals how easily a Muslim communist can come to power… Foreign-born communist Mayor Zohran Mamdani polled 62% support from foreign born voters… Only 30% of American born voters voted for him… As a result… a foreign-born Muslim communist who hates [America]… is now in power.”
He continued: “During his inaugural ceremony Commie Mamdani used two Qurans for his swearing-in ceremony… He used a book that advocates for killing all who don’t believe in Islam or refuse Islamic teachings.”
Tuberville alleged fraud among immigrant groups: “We continue to see more evidence come out of Muslim third-world foreigners defrauding [the] American people… thanks to independent journalist Nick Shirley… more fraud from Somali immigrants in Minnesota… In a recent hearing… testimony from a Minnesota state representative claimed that U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson estimates total amount of criminal fraud… has reached $9 billion.”
He criticized statements made by Minnesota’s Attorney General regarding these allegations: “But Minnesota’s Attorney General said this weekend on CNN… fraud estimation is not serious thing. That’s just political theater…”
Tuberville concluded with warnings about national security: “The Deep State hasn’t wasted any time in 2026… If we don’t do something… we will soon be called ‘United Caliphate of America.’ That means Christians Jews and anyone else who doesn’t convert will be prosecuted…” He praised former President Trump’s administration efforts related to immigration enforcement.
“Patriotic Americans are thankful for DHS and ICE… And I will continue to support law enforcement until every single illegal is out…”
“We need wake up,” he said at closing. “…As long as I’m alive I will fight ensure my granddaughter Rosie Grace can grow up in same country that I … had chance grow up—the greatest country on face earth.… They’re here. The enemy is inside gate.… if we don’t stop it we will lose this country that has been built for 250 years.”
Senator Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate, having joined after an earlier career as a college football coach and serving since his electionin 2020.
