UAH Wins 1-0 Over Union on Senior Day

The University of Alabama in Huntsville women’s soccer team won 1-0 over visiting Union on Senior Day at Charger Park on Friday evening in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 3-5-2 (2-3-1 GSC), while UU slides to 3-7-0 (2-5-0 GSC).
 
Both sides went scoreless in the initial 30 minutes of play on Friday until Carmen Endicott converted on a penalty kick in the 37th minute as UAH would hang on for the 1-0 victory.
 
Endicott is now tied for the team lead in goals scored with three on the season.
 
Hailey Hicks was stellar in goal for the Chargers in the shutout as she collected five saves and navigated the Blue & White through seven corner kicks by Union. She improves to 2-2-1 on the season.
 
The Chargers generated 14 total shots in the contest with seven going on goal, led by Endicott with two shots on goal.
 
Malaika Albright, Emily Labus, and Sarah Trotter each played the full 90 minutes of Friday’s game to lead UAH in minutes played.
 
UAH looks ahead to a Sunday matchup at Charger Park against Christian Brothers. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
