WASHINGTON—U.S. Representative Dale W. Strong (AL-05), a member of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC), is participating in the markup of H.R. 8070, the “Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act” for Fiscal Year 2025.

Rep. Strong has pledged to advocate for strategic national security programs and provisions that benefit North Alabama, Redstone Arsenal, and the state of Alabama.

“North Alabama understands the importance of providing America’s men and women in uniform what they need to accomplish the mission. As your Representative, I have prioritized listening to service members, leadership on Redstone Arsenal, and constituents from North Alabama to ensure their priorities are reflected in this year’s bill. I will always champion what the Tennessee Valley does best: missile defense, research and development, and national security space and cybersecurity programs,” said Representative Dale W. Strong.

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is an annual authorization to fund the Department of Defense, nuclear weapons programs within the Department of Energy, and other defense-related activities. The FY25 NDAA is focused on deterring China and improving service member quality of life.
