Today, Congressman Dale W. Strong introduced the No More Funding for NPR Act of 2025. This bill aims to stop federal funding for National Public Radio (NPR). According to the Congressman, the organization has a history of biased reporting on political and ideological matters.

"NPR has become nothing more than a mouthpiece for the far left, serving as an extension of the Democratic Party’s communication arm," stated Congressman Strong. He added that "hard-earned taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund liberal propaganda." The Congressman emphasized that it is time for Congress to halt financial support for media outlets that he believes undermine American values and beliefs.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, established by federal law in 1967, is responsible for distributing funds to public media organizations like PBS and NPR. While its purpose is to foster an informed public, investigations and oversight by Congress have indicated that NPR's reporting tends to favor liberal perspectives, allegedly failing to provide objective journalism.
